Davenport boy in critical condition after bicycle accident

A boy in the Davenport area is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle while riding his bike, WQAD 8 reported on June 9.

According to reports, a 14-year-old boy was traveling in the vicinity of Belmont and Telegraph Streets when the bicycle accident occurred. The boy’s skull was reportedly fractured, according to a relative, and he was transported to a hospital in Iowa City for treatment. The boy’s family sought donations by giving haircuts at a park in Davenport.
