Officials with Build-A-Bear and the U.S. Consumer Product and Safety Commission announced the recall just days before Christmas arrived.

The bear was sold from April 2011 to Dec. 2011 throughout the U.S. and Canada. Consumers who  purchased this bear can go into a Build-A-Bear store and return it for a coupon to purchase a new bear.

The investigation into the crash done by the National Transportation Safety Board said that the plane lost control, but the exact reason is not known and the report stated that they were “undetermined.”

Witnesses to the crash stated that the plane made a loud noise before crashing in Milford. The pilot of the plane, a man from Texas, was killed in the accident. The plane passed a flight test just a day before the accident took place.

According to Iowa officials, the 21-year-old student was traveling down Highway 57 when her vehicle veered left and crossed the center line colliding with a motorcycle.

The collision caused the motorcyclist to suffer from serious injuries including a fractured collar bone, fractured ribs and the amputation of one of her legs. The student was not intoxicated in the accident, but phone records show that she was texting at the time. She fled the scene, but later turned herself in and is facing multiple charges.

According to Iowa police, the accident occurred on Highway 64 on Thursday night and a 75-year-old man was killed as a result.

A 63-year-old man has now been charged with suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular homicide. Details of the crash are currently under investigation at this time.

According to authorities, Pink was hit by Garth Beatty, 70, of Vinton, IA, while crossing the southbound lanes of Highway 63.  Beatty was driving a pickup truck with a trailer attached.

Both cars ended up in a ditch, and the pickup truck flipped upon impact.  Beatty was brought to a nearby Waterloo hospital.
