Woman killed in Des Moines pedestrian accident

A woman in Des Moines, Iowa recently died after she was struck by a vehicle in the early morning hours of Monday, Septmenber 15, an article of kcrg.com stated.

Des Moines Police identified the pedestrian as Margit Browman, 49, a resident of Des Moines. Browman was reportedly crossing a street on the intersection of Southeast 5th Street and Army Post Road at around 5:00 a.m. when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle’s driver, identified as 32-year-old Bobby Mosely, remained at the accident scene and cooperated with police. Investigators stated that Browman was crossing the road with a green traffic light and was struck by Mosely due to wet pavement and poor visibility during that time.

Driver charged in fatal pedestrian accident

According to reports, the incident occurred on May 29 when Robert Ibsgaard, 70, was traversing the street on a crosswalk at Hamilton Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Mark Beltran. Ibsgaard died on June 4 due to serious injuries he sustained from the crash. Aside from the charges already filed against Beltran, police may add charges after state prosecutors study the case.
