Two people were reportedly injured in separate accidents involving ATVs, all terrain vehicles, in Fayette County, Iowa on May 31 and June 2.
The first accident happened on May 31 when a boy sustained minor injuries after losing control of his ATV on X Avenue, near Sumner at around 8 p.m. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said the ATV ran into a wood pile.
The second all-terrain vehicle-related accident happened at around 7 p.m. on June 2. Deputies received an incident report on 160th Street west of T Avenue when an ATV driven by John Yearnous lost control after one of its rear wheels fell off.

One person died in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday. According to police reports, the accident occurred near Miles, Iowa.
While police did not release details of what caused the accident, a car apparently crashed into an all-terrain vehicle. The motor vehicle accident killed the driver of the ATV, while the other driver was injured.
