Fatal OWI crash suspect apprehended again in southern Iowa

A driver in Des Moines who was charged for a suspected operating a vehicle while intoxicated (OWI) in November was recently arrested again. This time the arrest occurred in Lucas County, a report of Radio Iowa stated on June 17.

Authorities arrested the 53-year-old woman in Chariton on June 10 due to OWI suspicion. The Des Moines resident had a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.112 percent upon apprehension. The same arrested woman was involved in a car accident last November 17 in Des Moines. The November accident killed a 60-year-old man and a 59-year-old man. Aside from reckless driving resulting in a homicide charges, the woman was also charged with an OWI. The woman is expected to appear in court on September 12.
