Iowa accidents kill 4 motorcyclists over weekend
Four people lost their lives this weekend in Iowa motorcycle accidents, bringing the total number of Iowa motorcycle fatalities to 11 since the beginning of 2012.
This number is four more than it was at the same time in 2011. The Iowa Department of Transportation offered a reason for the slight increase, stating that the warmer, nicer weather earlier in the year may have increased the amount of motorcyclists who are out on the roads.
Last year, a total of 35 people lost their lives in motorcycle accidents. Motor vehicle drivers are urged to stay alert while on the road to help avoid motorcyclists.
