Implosion of Orlando Magic arena leaves pedestrian injured

The Amway Arena, which housed the home games of the NBA team, Orlando Magic, was imploded on Sunday morning in Florida.

The implosion began around 7:30 a.m., and debris from the event seemed to travel blocks away. A pedestrian was nearly two blocks from the site of the building’s destruction, but his left leg was still struck by a piece of debris.

An ambulance arrived to take the man to the hospital to have the deep cut in his left leg treated. Emergency personnel reported that the man was able to communicate with them, and seemed alert during his transportation to the hospital.
