Des Moines motorcycle accident injures 1

A motorcycle accident that took place on Friday in Des Moines has left a motorcyclist suffering from serious injuries. The motorcyclist was traveling north near the intersection of Bloomfield and Meadow Chase Lane when he was hit by a motor vehicle.

The driver of the motor vehicle was turning left at the intersection when he hit the motorcyclist. He claims that the motorcyclist was hard to see due to the inactivity of the motorcycle’s headlights. Police also noted that the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, the motorcyclist was promptly transported to a local hospital in order to receive aid for his severe injuries. Over the weekend in Iowa, police had extra patrol units out in order to prepare for the crowds that St. Patrick’s Day attracts each year.
