Pfizer issues recall of 1 million packs of birth control

Pfizer has issued a large recall of Lo/Ovral-28 tablets birth control packs after it was discovered that they mixed up the pills in a packaging error.

Nearly one million packets of the birth control have been recalled at this time. The oral birth control pills are supposed to contain 21 hormone tablets and seven sugar pills.

Pfizer discovered that some of the packets had too many hormone pills and others had too few and this mistake could result in unwanted pregnancies for women taking it. A spokesperson for Pfizer has stated that the issue has been corrected, but it was caused because of errors in the mechanics and other visual inspections.
