Iowa City Police report that an adult male cyclist was hit by a car around 2:12 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Jefferson and Johnson Streets.
Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver, who fled the scene. The cyclist described the car as a new silver, four-door Pontiac Grand Am.
The passenger side door sustained serious damage in the accident and the passenger side window was shattered.
The cyclist was taken to Mercy Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
