Police report that a Dubuque man died in a single-vehicle crash Monday night in southwest Wisconsin.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Highway 61/151 south of Dickeyville close to the Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa state border.

The 47-year-old Dubuque man lost control of his SUV when he overcompensated while turning a corner, spinning out of control and rolling over in the median. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His two passengers, a 44-year-old and 56-year-old, were taken to hospitals in Dubuque. Their conditions are unknown.

Grant County Wisconsin authorities believe that both speeding and drinking contributed to the accident.
