The dangers surrounding playground accidents

Posted on October 9th, 2009 No Comments

Playgrounds are a common site for children's injuries. Playgrounds can be dangerous because of the equipment  and the type of activities that occur at playgrounds.

Accidents due to equipment may be caused by defective equipment or equipment has broken due to wear and tear. Injuries from defective equipment can include cuts and scrapes, broken bones, and concussions.

Other accidents usually involve children involved in reckless activities. While this type of behavior is expected around playgrounds, parents  and supervisors should be aware of the risk due to running around near playground equipment.

If you or anyone you know has been injured while playing on a playground, contact the Iowa personal injury attorneys of LaMarca & Landry at 877-327-2600.
